From the Ashes by Paleblood

Format: Commander

Commander: Meren of Clan Nel Toth

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Meren of Clan Nel Toth is the engine of this Golgari aristocrats-reanimator deck. Primary plan: ramp with one-drop mana dorks, turn Meren on early, and convert every creature death into experience and future reanimation. The main win line is tutoring into Protean Hulk via Natural Order (or Fiend Artisan/Birthing Pod), then using a sacrifice outlet to flip Hulk into Mikaeus, the Unhallowed + Walking Ballista and loop Ballista's +1/+1 counters as infinite damage. Secondary paths: Meren recursion with Grave Pact/Attrition to strip boards, plus Sephiroth's repeated death-trigger drain as a long-game alternate. There is no hidden commander; the deck is built around Meren's end-step recursion and the sacrifice-toolbox core that supports it.
