Deck overview

This list is an optimized cEDH creature combo deck commanded by Animar, Soul of Elements. The strategy accelerates Animar onto the battlefield on Turn 2 using an extensive package of zero- and one-mana acceleration. Once in play, low-cost creatures rapidly scale Animar's +1/+1 counters, discounting future creature spells. On Turn 3, the deck tutors and casts Ancestral Statue, which becomes completely free once Animar reaches four counters. Statue triggers its self-bounce repeatedly to generate infinite +1/+1 counters on Animar and infinite storm, which feeds directly into an arbitrarily large Walking Ballista for an immediate table-wide kill. Animar's innate protection from white and black provides strong natural defense against premier removal, while free counterspells like Fierce Guardianship, Deflecting Swat, and Force of Will shield the winning turn. Backup lines through Cloudstone Curio and Hullbreaker Horror ensure robust alternative paths to victory.
