Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Dimir graveyard control strategy commanded by Taskmaster, Mercenary Mimic. The game plan combines early self-mill, symmetrical mill engines, and premier black tutors to load all graveyards with devastating high-mana creature bombs. Taskmaster enters on Turn 3 or 4 and immediately transforms into copies of top threats like Archon of Cruelty, Hullbreaker Horror, or Sheoldred, Whispering One every main phase for free. Backing this engine is an independent suite of classic reanimation spells, clone creatures, and a dense, efficient interaction package featuring free countermagic and flexible spot removal. The deck grinds opponents down through steady resource attrition, combat damage from copied titans, and indirect damage via Syr Konrad, the Grim, ultimately sealing the game on Turn 8 with massive table-wide reanimation spells like Rise of the Dark Realms and Breach the Multiverse.
