Deck overview

This Azorius control deck uses Kwain, Itinerant Meddler to fuel a political Group Hug strategy. By providing extra card draw to all players, the deck curries favor, smooths out its own land drops, and accelerates into high-impact support cards. It keeps itself safe using pillowfort enchantments like Propaganda, Ghostly Prison, and Solitary Confinement, which make attacking you too costly. Meanwhile, cards like Smothering Tithe capitalize on opponents drawing cards to create a massive mana advantage. The deck converts this resource superiority into a win through alternate win conditions, most notably Approach of the Second Sun, group drain via Psychosis Crawler, or self-mill payoffs like Laboratory Maniac and Jace, Wielder of Mysteries. A dense suite of counterspells and sweepers protects the board and ensures your decisive spells resolve safely.
