Deck overview

This deck is a 5-color Villain kindred midrange deck commanded by Thanos, the Mad Titan. It leverages cheap, synergistic Villain creatures and the connive mechanic to filter cards, grow attackers with +1/+1 counters, and generate Menace and Robot creature tokens. The mana base relies heavily on Verge lands and tribal rainbow fixers to cast colorful threats and meet the 5-color requirement for Thanos's odd/even board wipe. The deck builds an imposing board presence through engines like Baron Strucker, HYDRA Overlord, Ultron, Unlimited, and Madame Hydra, then converts this into lethal pressure around Turn 6 with finishers like The Squadron Sinister, Taunt from the Rampart, or Thanos's Power-up activation. With solid targeted removal, blink-based creature protection, and high functional redundancy across its creature suite, the deck maintains steady pressure and recovers quickly from disruption without relying on infinite combos.
