Deck overview

This competitive Mardu deck leverages Celes, Rune Knight as both a card-filtering engine and an infinite counter generator. When paired with a creature with persist such as Putrid Goblin or Lesser Masticore and a free sacrifice outlet like Goblin Bombardment or Altar of Dementia, Celes immediately adds a +1/+1 counter whenever the persist creature returns from the graveyard. This counter cancels out the -1/-1 persist counter, enabling an infinite sacrifice loop that deals infinite damage or mills out all opponents. Beyond this primary engine, the deck operates as a high-speed turbo list utilizing Ad Nauseam, Peer into the Abyss, and Underworld Breach with Lion's Eye Diamond and Grinding Station. Heavy fast mana, dense unconditional tutors, and premier silence effects enable consistent, protected Turn 2 to 3 victories.
