Deck overview

This is a Golgari lifegain-and-+1/+1-counters tribal deck helmed by Blech, Loafing Pest, who converts every point of life gained into a +1/+1 counter on your Pest, Bat, Insect, Snake, and Spider creatures. The deck floods the board with small token creatures while gaining life from every conceivable angle: creature ETBs (Essence Warden, Prosperous Innkeeper, Bogwater Lumaret), landfall (Eumidian Terrabotanist, Kazandu Nectarpot, Lifegift), extort (Basilica Screecher), and attack triggers. That life is then converted into either pumped trampling attackers (via Duskshell Crawler, Garruk's Uprising, Sphere Grid), direct drain (Starscape Cleric, South Wind Avatar, Fumulus, the Infestation), or a Aetherflux Reservoir burst. Counter amplifiers Hardened Scales and Winding Constrictor supercharge the plan, while Necropotence and Guardian Project keep the hand full. It is a grindy value deck that wins through incremental life advantage.
