Marchesa, reanimator by Delsitir

Format: Commander

Commander: Marchesa, the Black Rose

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Grixis aristocrats and recursion engine built around Marchesa, the Black Rose. The plan is to seed +1/+1 counters (via dethrone, modular, fabricate, and support pieces), then freely sacrifice creatures knowing Marchesa returns anything that died with a counter at end of turn. Death triggers from Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, Marionette Apprentice, Mayhem Devil, and Syr Konrad, the Grim convert every loop into table-wide drain, while Grave Pact and Dictate of Erebos turn the same sacrifices into edict locks. Primary wins are infinite sacrifice loops (especially Mikaeus, the Unhallowed plus a non-Human and a sac outlet) and grindy drain; secondary paths include unblockable combat via Herald of Secret Streams and reanimation piles off Buried Alive. Marchesa is a powerful stabilizer and value engine but is not required for the registered combo lines.
