Format: Commander

Commander: Grand Arbiter Augustin IV

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Grand Arbiter Augustin IV leads an Azorius stax/control deck that taxes opponents with cost increases and attack penalties while drawing cards through group-hug effects. The primary plan is to slow the table with Grand Arbiter, Thalia, Thorn of Amethyst, and pillow-fort enchantments, then close with Approach of the Second Sun, Azor's Elocutors, or Psychosis Crawler plus mass drawing. The commander acts as both a cost reducer for white/blue spells and a global tax piece; there is no double-faced or hidden commander. Secondary paths include Mechanized Production on Treasure tokens and combat beats from Platinum Emperion. The deck is resilient to combat but vulnerable to artifact/enchantment removal and to giving opponents too much card advantage.
