Deck overview

This deck is a Jund midrange control deck commanded by Auntie Ool, Cursewretch. The strategy revolves around placing -1/-1 counters across both friendly and opposing creatures. When you place counters on your own creatures through blight effects or cards like Devoted Druid and Sinister Gnarlbark, Auntie Ool draws cards to sustain your hand. When you place counters on opposing creatures, Auntie Ool drains their life totals. The deck controls the board through persistent mass-wither effects, board wipes, and stax pieces like Kulrath Knight, which stops all creatures with counters from attacking or blocking. Win conditions stem from draining opponents with continuous counter placement, swarming the board with deathtouch Snake tokens via Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons, and swinging with large evasive beaters like Carnifex Demon and The Scorpion God. With deep card draw and strong removal, the deck grinds down opposing resources while building an overwhelming board presence.
