Deck overview

This Orzhov deck is a synergistic lifegain combo shell led by Niv-Mizzet, Ghost Counsel. While the commander provides an outlet and card draw engine, the primary game plan revolves around assembling a deterministic two-card loop between a life-loss payoff (Exquisite Blood or Bloodthirsty Conqueror) and a lifegain-triggered drain piece (Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Enduring Tenacity, or Marauding Blight-Priest). With abundant low-cost mana acceleration and a tutor suite featuring Demonic Tutor and Vampiric Tutor, the deck regularly attempts its combo on Turn 5. Opponents are kept off balance through efficient spot removal, while board protection like Grand Abolisher and Ranger-Captain of Eos ensures the combo resolves unhindered.
