Deck overview

This deck is a focused Dimir aggro-control and Voltron strategy led by Umbris, Fear Manifest. The game plan accelerates mana on turns 1 through 3 using efficient mana rocks and rituals, deploying Umbris on turn 4. Once Umbris is on the battlefield, mass exile spells like Tasha's Hideous Laughter and continuous graveyard-exile engines such as Leyline of the Void and Dauthi Voidwalker exile dozens of opposing cards. This rapidly inflates Umbris's power into lethal one-shot territory. The deck protects its giant commander with Lightning Greaves, Winged Boots, and low-cost counterspells, eliminating opponents one by one through unblockable or evasive combat damage. In addition to commander damage, the list includes a potent two-card win condition in Helm of Obedience paired with Leyline of the Void, as well as game-ending control from Hullbreaker Horror. Dense interaction and asymmetric search hate ensure opponents struggle to assemble counterplay.
