Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Gruul artifact-token midrange deck commanded by Aerid Konstrari. The strategy focuses on rapidly establishing mana ramp and generating a dense critical mass of artifact tokens, such as Heartwood, Treasure, and Thopters. Aerid enters the battlefield to create Heartwood tokens that produce red or green mana, accelerating subsequent plays while fueling artifact-count payoffs. In the mid-game, the deck leverages token multipliers, copy sorceries like Twinflame and Molten Duplication, and creature duplicators such as Orthion, Hero of Lavabrink to scale board presence. It converts token volume into victory through direct-damage pingers including Reckless Fireweaver and Ingenious Artillerist, or explosive overrun combat steps via Craterclaw Colossus and Aerid's artifact-scaling activated pump ability. Solid protection spells like Deflecting Swat, Heroic Intervention, and Veil of Summer shield key pieces during decisive turns, allowing the deck to close games reliably around Turn 6.
