Format: Commander

Commander: The Infamous Cruelclaw

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

The deck is a Cruelclaw cheat deck: the commander attacks with haste or unblockable, exiles a nonland, and casts it for a discard, letting you put huge Eldrazi, demons, and planeswalkers into play for free. The primary plan is to connect once per turn and accumulate annihilator threats; secondary paths use Dance with Calamity, Fevered Suspicion, and cascade sorceries to keep cheating spells. It has no real combo, so most wins come from repeated evasive combat damage, often accelerated by Embercleave or Akroma's Memorial. Recursion (Sheoldred, Mikaeus, Volrath's Stronghold) helps rebuild. The deck is entirely dependent on Cruelclaw staying online; without it, the expensive hand is nearly uncastable.
