Deck overview

Ezuri, Claw of Progress leads a focused Simic aggro deck that converts low-power utility creatures into massive, evasive threats. The primary game plan opens with efficient mana dorks and unblockable 1- and 2-drops to build experience counters as soon as Ezuri enters the battlefield. Beginning on Turn 4, Ezuri distributes these counters at combat, turning creatures like Blighted Agent, Cold-Eyed Selkie, and Champion of Lambholt into lethal attackers or massive card-draw engines. The deck closes games through unblockable combat damage, poison counters, or trample overruns from Pathbreaker Ibex. In addition, Sage of Hours provides an instant-win infinite turn loop once 5 experience counters accumulate. Resilient protection spells like Ripples of Potential and Mutational Advantage shield the board against sweepers, while retained experience counters ensure rapid recovery even if Ezuri is temporarily removed.
