Elf Slop by user6813956

Format: Commander

Commander: Thranduil, the Elvenking

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Thranduil is a Sultai elf-combo deck that treats the graveyard as a second hand. The commander borrows Marwyn's, Priest of Titania's, Deathbloom Ritualist's, Lathril's, and Ezuri's activated abilities, so filling the yard with the right Elves turns him into a mana engine and finisher. The primary plan is to tutor a critical mass into the graveyard, then assemble infinite mana through Ashaya + Argothian Elder, Priest + Umbral Mantle, or an untap aura on Deathbloom Ritualist, and dump it into Walking Ballista, Exsanguinate, or Torment of Hailfire. Combat with Ezuri/Tyvar overruns is a secondary path; Lathril acts as a hidden commander-style win condition when Thranduil borrows her tap ability.
