Butt K'rrik v2

Format: Commander

Commander: K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth

Bracket: 4

DeckCheck Threat Index: 50

Deck overview

This mono-black deck leverages K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth to turn life into mana, achieving rapid mana velocity and explosive mid-game turns. The primary win condition combines K'rrik with Aetherflux Reservoir and Leshrac's Sigil, allowing you to cast and bounce the Sigil repeatedly using Phyrexian mana. Because Aetherflux Reservoir gains life equal to the total spell count for the turn, each cycle eventually yields positive life, scaling into infinite life, infinite storm, and three 50-damage laser activations to eliminate the table. Supporting lines utilize graveyard tutors and reanimation spells to bring out Vilis, Broker of Blood for massive card draw, or Gray Merchant of Asphodel backed by Chainer, Dementia Master and Saw in Half for heavy life drain. While highly explosive and capable of winning on Turn 4, the deck invests significant life resources and depends on K'rrik remaining on the battlefield to bypass high casting costs.
