Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Azorius combo-control strategy helmed by Kwain, Itinerant Meddler. It uses early symmetrical card draw to accelerate development, smooth land drops, and draw opponents into a false sense of security. Under the cover of pillowfort and tax effects like Ghostly Prison and Grand Arbiter Augustin IV, the deck rapidly digs for game-ending combo engines. Its primary win condition pairs Kwain, Itinerant Meddler or Temple Bell with Mind Over Matter to draw the entire library in a single turn, closing out the game with Laboratory Maniac or Jace, Wielder of Mysteries. Backup routes include the classic Isochron Scepter plus Dramatic Reversal untap engine and Approach of the Second Sun. A suite of free countermagic and proactive protection spells ensures safe combo execution.
