Deck overview

This Dimir deck leverages Satoru Umezawa to cheat colossal, game-ending creatures into play at instant speed for just four mana. By utilizing a dense package of unblockable one-drop creatures such as Changeling Outcast and Mist-Cloaked Herald, the deck reliably connects during combat on turn 4. Once unblocked, Satoru's ability swaps the attacker for massive threats like Archon of Cruelty, Sphinx of the Second Sun, or Grave Titan while triggering an Anticipate effect to keep your hand full. The deck backs up this proactive combat strategy with efficient Dimir countermagic, flexible spot removal, and defensive equipment to protect Satoru. Rather than relying on infinite combos, it closes out multiplayer pods through overwhelming tempo swings, recurring enter-the-battlefield triggers, and relentless evasive combat damage.
