golgari gains and drains by Msiv74

Format: Commander

Commander: Savra, Queen of the Golgari

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is an aristocrats-style Golgari deck that uses sacrifice outlets and death triggers to grind value and assemble infinite life-loss loops. Savra, Queen of the Golgari is the support commander: black sacrifices turn into edicts, green sacrifices gain life and can start the main drain chain. The primary plan is to set up Dina, Soul Steeper or Sanguine Bond with Exquisite Blood and a life-gain enabler, killing all opponents in one loop. The secondary plan is Chatterfang, Squirrel General plus Pitiless Plunderer with a sac outlet for infinite mana/tokens, then finish with Altar of Dementia or Bastion of Remembrance. Dina, Soul Steeper is effectively the hidden commander; even though she sits in the 99, the deck is built around her drain trigger.
