Deck overview

Doctor Doom, King of Latveria leads a proactive Grixis synergy deck focused on connive triggers, discard value, and Villain tribal interactions. Ten efficient mana rocks accelerate development, deploying Doctor Doom on Turn 3 or 4. Once in play, Doctor Doom grants menace and triggers connive at the beginning of each combat step, cycling through cards and draining 2 life from each opponent whenever a land is discarded. The midgame leverages powerful discard payoffs like Bone Miser, Brallin, Skyshark Rider, Glint-Horn Buccaneer, and Cool but Rude to convert card filtering into table-wide direct damage. Meanwhile, Archfiend of Ifnir asymmetrically clears opposing creature boards, and recursion engines such as Containment Construct and Moonstone, Harsh Mistress turn discarded cards into additional playable resources. The deck steadily eliminates the table around Turn 8 through evasive combat damage and recurring burn triggers.
