Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Mardu combat deck led by Isshin, Two Heavens as One. Instead of focusing on single-target Voltron commander damage, the strategy maximizes Isshin's ability by doubling attack triggers from wide-board token producers and life-drain engines. Early turns focus on accelerating mana with two-mana rocks to deploy Isshin on Turn 3. On Turn 4, the deck deploys prolific token generators like Adeline, Resplendent Cathar, Anim Pakal, Thousandth Moon, or Brimaz, King of Oreskos, immediately flooding the battlefield with tapped-and-attacking creatures. On Turn 5, payoff permanents such as Commissar Severina Raine, Mishra, Claimed by Gix, or Cathars' Crusade turn this swarm into lethal direct damage and life loss that hits all opponents simultaneously. The deck protects its attacking turns with silence effects like Myrel, Shield of Argive and defends its board against sweepers using Flawless Maneuver and Boros Charm, closing out games on Turn 6.
