Deck overview

This deck is an Esper Spellslinger Control deck led by Y'shtola, Night's Blessed, featuring strong Final Fantasy XIV thematic synergy. The strategy focuses on establishing defensive barriers with Ghostly Prison and Propaganda while utilizing on-curve mana rocks and card-draw spells. Once Y'shtola enters the battlefield, every noncreature spell with mana value 3 or greater drains 2 life from each opponent, gains 2 life, and regularly triggers end-step card draw by meeting the 4-life loss threshold. The deck disrupts opponents using a broad suite of countermagic, versatile spot removal like Void Rend, and mass bounce effects such as Cyclonic Rift. It closes games through compounding spell-based burn, token triggers from Papalymo Totolymo and Circle of Power, and game-ending finishers like Exsanguinate or a kicked Rite of Replication.
