Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive mono-red Voltron strategy centered around Alexios, Deimos of Kosmos. Alexios possesses a unique ability: at the beginning of each player's upkeep, that player gains control of him, puts a +1/+1 counter on him, untaps him, and gives him haste. Because he must attack each combat if able and cannot attack his owner, he rapidly bludgeons opponents while growing larger each turn. The deck supports this game plan by loading Alexios with Equipment such as Fireshrieker, Colossus Hammer, and Darksteel Plate, which remain attached and grant their benefits even when opponents control him. Disruptive elements like Silent Arbiter, Disrupt Decorum, and Blood Moon force unfavorable combat decisions and slow down opposing responses. While the deck boasts immense damage velocity, it relies heavily on keeping Alexios on the battlefield and suffers from a lack of card-draw engines and Equipment tutors.
