Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis spellslinger strategy helmed by Fire Lord Azula. Azula generates {R}{R} during combat and copies any spell cast while attacking. The deck converts this combat trigger into rapid card advantage and lethal damage by chaining cheap instants, ritual spells, and magecraft triggers. Permanents like Storm-Kiln Artist and Archmage Emeritus supply massive mana and hand replenishment, while Guttersnipe, Fiery Inscription, and Erebor Flamesmith drain all opponents simultaneously. The deck also features high-ceiling storm finishers like Thousand-Year Storm, graveyard recursion through Past in Flames, and an infinite damage loop with Ral, Storm Conduit and Twincast. While reliant on combat steps and vulnerable to well-timed creature removal, the deck's high density of redundant burn engines and explosive burst turns allow it to close multiplayer games quickly.
