Christians deck by The-Gray-Knight

Format: Commander

Commander: Oloro, Ageless Ascetic

Bracket: 5

Deck overview

This is a high-power Esper control/combo deck in the Oloro cEDH mold. Rather than using Oloro, Ageless Ascetic as an engine you must cast, it treats his command-zone life gain as an incidental subsidy for painful tutors, fetches, and draw-stax pieces. The primary kill is the classic Thassa's Oracle line, emptied by either Demonic Consultation or Tainted Pact; the backup is the Rest in Peace plus Helm of Obedience kill. The deck deploys a dense stax/tax shell - Drannith Magistrate, Grand Abolisher, Cursed Totem, Meekstone, Humility, Ghostly Prison, and Propaganda - to buy time while an unusually deep tutor suite assembles the combo. Oloro is essentially removable; the plan runs at full capacity with him never leaving the command zone.
