Deck overview

Xyris, the Writhing Storm helms an explosive Temur token-swarm and wheel deck. The strategy leverages Xyris's ability to create a 1/1 green Snake token whenever an opponent draws a card beyond their first draw step. By combining dense early mana ramp with symmetrical wheel effects like Windfall, Wheel of Misfortune, and Reforge the Soul, the deck creates 21 Snake tokens in a single turn while refilling its hand with fresh cards. Once the token army is assembled, high-impact anthems such as Shared Animosity, Coat of Arms, Beastmaster Ascension, and Triumph of the Hordes convert the snakes into a lethal combat assault that eliminates all three opponents simultaneously. The list supports its plan with efficient protection spells like Heroic Intervention and Tamiyo's Safekeeping alongside mana engines like Ashnod's Altar and Three Tree City. While vulnerable to heavy board wipes and lacking deep reactive removal, the deck executes a fast, redundant, and devastating token clock.
