Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov legendary-matters aggro-midrange strategy commanded by Ardbert, Warrior of Darkness. The plan curves low-cost legendary creatures into Ardbert on Turn 3, then uses white and black spells to distribute +1/+1 counters while granting vigilance and menace across the legendary board. By Turn 5, this creates an aggressive combat presence supported by payoffs like Commissar Severina Raine, Breena, the Demagogue, and Arvad the Cursed. The list features strong resilience with protection spells like Flawless Maneuver, Clever Concealment, and Boromir, Warden of the Tower, alongside mass recursion from Primevals' Glorious Rebirth. Efficient spot removal handles diverse opposing permanents at instant speed, while stax pieces like Drana and Linvala and Kunoros, Hound of Athreos disrupt opposing game plans. The deck also includes an infinite sacrifice loop using Ratadrabik of Urborg and Boromir, Warden of the Tower.
