Commander: Thranduil, the Elvenking

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Thranduil, the Elvenking leads a graveyard-summoning elfball deck. The primary plan fills the bin with elf cards, then uses Thranduil to borrow Jarad's activated sacrifice ability and drain every opponent with a colossal Abomination of Llanowar. Secondary plans are a Staff of Domination infinite-mana loop and a go-wide elf-token/combat finish. Jarad functions as a hidden commander: he never needs to be cast, only binned, because Thranduil gains his ability. The deck also uses Thranduil's draw/discard trigger on other legendary elves to filter. When the combo is stopped, Bloodline Bidding and Morcant's Eyes rebuild an elf army.
