Squall Deck Check by Kenshin

Format: Commander

Commander: Squall, SeeD Mercenary

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Orzhov Equipment deck is helmed by Squall, SeeD Mercenary, whose combat-damage trigger recurs permanents with mana value 3 or less while his "attacks alone" trigger grants double strike. The primary win condition is commander damage via Squall, suited with evasion and power-boosting equipment like Buster Sword, Shadowspear, and Inquisitor's Flail. Secondary threats include Cloud, Midgar Mercenary (tutors Equipment and doubles triggers) and Sephiroth, Fabled SOLDIER, whose transform emblem provides incremental drain. The deck leans on incremental value from recursion, equipment-based card draw (Mask of Memory, Skeleton Key), and engines like Black Market Connections and Puresteel Paladin. It wins through sustained combat pressure rather than infinite combos.
