Deck overview

This Sultai deck is built around Teval, Arbiter of Virtue, utilizing self-mill enablers to fill the graveyard and exploit Teval's ability to grant delve to every spell. Early turns focus on smoothing mana drops and stocking cards in the graveyard via Malevolent Rumble, Commune with Evil, and Primal Witchstalker. Once Teval enters on Turn 5, the deck bypasses high mana costs on game-shifting permanents and massive X-spells like Dread Summons, Exsanguinate, Darksteel Angel, and Massacre Wurm. While Teval imposes a life-loss trigger equal to cast mana values, Teval's lifelink and supporting lifegain cards buffer life totals, while Darksteel Angel provides complete immunity to loss. If Teval is answered, a backup reanimation package featuring Six, Zombify, and Too Evil to Stay Dead maintains steady threat velocity. The deck excels at mid-game creature dominance and explosive burst turns, though it requires careful management of its graveyard and life ledger.
