Ty Lee by Dubthestep

Format: Commander

Commander: Ty Lee, Chi Blocker

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Ty Lee, Chi Blocker fronts a mono-blue tap-lock control deck. The plan is to make opposing permanents unusable: Ty Lee's flash ETB permanently pins one creature, and the 99 layers the same effect through Dungeon Geists, Icefall Regent, Frost Titan, Tamiyo, the Moon Sage, Gadwick, the Wizened, and Niblis of Frost. A heavy stax package - Winter Orb, Static Orb, Mana Web, Back to Basics, Meekstone, Frozen Aether, and Overburden - chokes mana while the deck accumulates cards with Mystic Remora, Narset, Parter of Veils, Verity Circle, and Archmage of Runes. The primary wins are either flyer/beatdown pressure from Shark Typhoon, Frost Titan, and Hall of Storm Giants, or the infinite-untap line of Isochron Scepter + Dramatic Reversal with artifact mana, finished by Staff of Domination or Blue Sun's Zenith. Ty Lee is a useful flash body and Opposition fodder, not the engine itself.
