Winota: Snowball Stax by Timtation

Format: Commander

Commander: Winota, Joiner of Forces

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a high-power Boros Winota, Joiner of Forces aggro-stax deck that weaponizes non-Human attackers to cheat a dense suite of disruptive Humans onto the battlefield tapped and attacking. The primary plan is to deploy cheap non-Human bodies (Ornithopter, Gingerbrute, Signal Pest, Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer), cast Winota, and convert each attack trigger into free Humans with indestructible for the turn. Extra-combat pieces (Combat Celebrant, Breath of Fury) chain those triggers into a same-turn lethal alpha strike, amplified by Blade Historian double strike and Angrath's Marauders damage doubling. A deep Rule-of-Law and hatebear package (Drannith Magistrate, Archon of Emeria, Grand Abolisher, Thalia, Guardian of Thraben) locks the table while the combat engine closes. Secondary pressure comes from goad/theft attackers like Slicer, Hired Muscle and Alexios, Deimos of Kosmos. The deck plays as a fast, interactive prison-aggro hybrid that wins through combat chains rather than traditional infinite mana.
