Deck overview

This mono-black deck is helmed by K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth, an explosive commander who turns your life total into a primary mana resource by substituting 2 life for every black pip. The strategy aims to accelerate K'rrik into play on Turn 3 or 4, leveraging black rituals, mana rocks, and card-draw spells paid with life. Once online, K'rrik allows you to quickly deploy redundant two-card infinite life-drain combos centered on Exquisite Blood paired with Sanguine Bond, Bloodthirsty Conqueror, Defiant Bloodlord, or South Wind Avatar. Instant-speed removal and lifelink creatures help stabilize your life total against aggro, while tutors like Wishclaw Talisman and Brainspoil assemble the missing pieces. The deck wins by initiating a closed-loop damage cycle that drains all three opponents to zero in a single turn.
