Deck overview

This mono-blue deck merges tribal Merfolk combat with noncreature spellslinging under Namor the Sub-Mariner. Namor turns every noncreature spell with blue mana symbols into a swarm of 1/1 Merfolk tokens while growing into a massive flying threat. Low-cost cantrips, bounce spells, and countermagic trigger Namor repeatedly to flood the battlefield. Merfolk lords such as Lord of Atlantis, Master of the Pearl Trident, and Attuma grant power buffs and islandwalk. Combined with Harbinger of the Seas or Aquitect's Will, islandwalk makes the entire army unblockable against any opponent running nonbasic lands. Asymmetric sweepers like Raise the Palisade clear opposing blockers while leaving your Merfolk untouched. Heavy card draw from convoke spells and combat triggers keeps your hand full of cheap interaction and protection to close the game across Turns 5 to 7.
