Deck overview

This is a big-mana Izzet spellslinger deck helmed by Rootha, Mastering the Moment. The core plan is to cast high-mana-value instants and sorceries before combat, letting Rootha's trigger create a huge flying-haste Elemental token each turn. Extra combat and extra turn spells then chain together to close out the game, either by overwhelming combat damage or by chaining multiple turns until a single lethal attack connects. The deck leverages alternate casting costs (delve, exiling red cards from hand) and ritual effects like Mana Geyser to power out its haymakers. While the strategy is linear and heavily dependent on drawing into the right pieces, the sheer size of the tokens generated gives it a fast clock once the engine is online.
