Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov lifegain-drain midrange list centered around Astarion, the Decadent. The strategy focuses on establishing early Vampire threats with lifelink and passive drain triggers, such as Creeping Bloodsucker and Drana's Emissary, before deploying damage amplifiers like Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose and Marauding Blight-Priest. Once the board is established, Astarion, the Decadent enters on Turn 6 to double life loss each end step via Feed, rapidly eliminating opponents in sequence. The deck also includes high-impact finishers such as Bloodthirsty Conqueror, Bolas's Citadel, and the infinite combo of Exquisite Blood with Sanguine Bond. It features a robust suite of flexible Orzhov removal and sweepers to control opposing boards, though its win conditions require surviving across multiple turns due to limited stack protection.
