Deck overview

This mono-green stompy deck uses efficient, oversized creatures and early mana acceleration to rapidly discount and deploy Ghalta, Primal Hunger. By establishing 10 to 12 total creature power across turns 1 through 3 with threats like Pugnacious Hammerskull, Rhonas the Indomitable, and Hulking Raptor, the deck regularly casts Ghalta on turn 4 for just two green mana. Once Ghalta is on the battlefield, the deck converts its 12/12 statline into overwhelming card advantage via power-scaling draw spells such as Greater Good, Return of the Wildspeaker, and Rishkar's Expertise. The strategy closes games on turn 6 using game-ending overrun effects like Overwhelming Stampede or stat-doublers like Unnatural Growth. While inherently vulnerable to board wipes and instant-speed removal before untapping, the deck maintains high threat density, resilient beaters like Elder Gargaroth and Gigantic Big Bear, and targeted protection spells to power through opposing disruption and trample over defending boards.
