Deck overview

This Golgari deck helmed by Meren of Clan Nel Toth executes a grindy aristocrats and reanimator strategy designed to overwhelm opponents through cumulative resource advantage and decisive combo finishes. In the early game, the deck accelerates mana using efficient dorks and land ramp while filling the graveyard with self-mill and sacrifice fodder like Sakura-Tribe Elder and Stitcher's Supplier. Once Meren of Clan Nel Toth is deployed on Turn 4, it establishes an oppressive attrition engine by repeatedly recurring disruptive creatures such as Plaguecrafter, Accursed Marauder, and Spore Frog. This persistent removal suppresses opposing boards and protects the pilot's life total while building experience counters. To close the game, the deck transitions into compact win conditions around Turn 6, utilizing Final Parting or reanimation to assemble the infinite Magecraft drain combo of Witherbloom Apprentice and Chain of Smog, or executing mass reanimation through Living Death and Protean Hulk to drain the entire table.
