Deck overview

This is a tuned Orzhov lifegain-drain deck helmed by Liesa, Shroud of Dusk. The core plan layers life-payment engines (Necropotence, Bolas's Citadel, K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth) with drain payoffs so that every spell cast and every point of life gained becomes table-wide pressure. Primary wins are the classic Exquisite Blood loops with Sanguine Bond, Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, or Enduring Tenacity, backed by Heliod, Sun-Crowned + Walking Ballista and Aetherflux Reservoir as alternate finishers. Aristocrats pieces (Blood Artist, Cruel Celebrant, Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim) and Liesa's own "spells cost life" tax supply incremental damage while the deck rebuilds. Fast mana (Mana Vault, Chrome Mox, Mox Diamond, Jeweled Lotus, Ancient Tomb) and premium tutors keep the combo pieces online, letting the deck function as a resilient mid-game combo deck that also grinds through combat and attrition.
