Vorel Bracket 3 by Matthewsteel

Format: Commander

Commander: Vorel of the Hull Clade

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This build steers the Simic +1/+1-counter deck with **Vorel of the Hull Clade** at the wheel: his ability to double counters turns mana dumps and ordinary counter engines into multiplicative, game-ending threats. Rather than relying on a fragile, one-card infinite, the deck layers **hardened counters** (Hardened Scales, Witness of Evolution, Kami of Whispered Hopes) and **growth tutors** (Kodama's Reach) behind a combat predator package of **hydra-class doubling threats** and **unblockable evasion** built through Merfolk Skydiver/Imoen, the lucky one? Actually the right click is usually: ramp/tutor into a large X-spell, cast a hydra (Hydra), then use Vorel and Kalonian Twister style effects to turn a five-turn clock into, roughly, a "turn 6-7" kill. The deck is a "moderately low to the ground" attrition list: a pile of mana dorks and draw spells that are all *also* +1/+1 payloads, with an unusually high answer-density.
