Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir Pirate kindred tempo deck led by the partner pairing of Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator and Francisco, Fowl Marauder. The primary game plan centers on deploying cheap, evasive Pirates on early turns to establish consistent combat triggers. Connecting with opponents generates Treasure tokens through Malcolm and provides card selection or stat buffs through Francisco's explore ability. The deck transitions into the midgame by compounding card advantage with engines like Coastal Piracy and Kindred Discovery, while pumping its evasive attackers using anthems such as Corsair Captain and Adaptive Automaton. Efficient interaction like Counterspell, Pongify, and Kitesail Larcenist keeps opposing threats in check, while late-game mass recursion from Haunting Voyage helps rebuild after sweepers. The deck wins by grinding down opposing life totals in the air across multiple combat steps.
