Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov aristocrats and attrition deck commanded by Liesa, Forgotten Archangel. The strategy centers on establishing asymmetric board control through sacrifice loops, recurring nontoken creatures to hand every end step while permanently exiling opposing dying creatures. By combining sacrifice outlets like Viscera Seer and Ashnod's Altar with continuous edict engines such as Grave Pact and Dictate of Erebos, the deck systematically dismantles creature-based boards. Life totals are drained simultaneously via aristocrat staples including Blood Artist, Cruel Celebrant, and Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim. In addition to grinding out the table through combat and recurring drain triggers, the list features compact two-card infinite combos in Exquisite Blood paired with Sanguine Bond, Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Enduring Tenacity, or Bloodthirsty Conqueror. While lacking fast mana and direct tutors, the deck excels at sustained resource denial, board resilience, and inevitable late-game life drain.
