Radagast’s Beasties by user4000518

Format: Commander

Commander: Radagast of Rhosgobel

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is a mono-green creature-value "stompy" deck helmed by Radagast of Rhosgobel, whose {2} discount on the first creature spell each turn - plus flash - lets you deploy haymakers ahead of curve and on opponents' turns. The plan is straightforward: ramp aggressively with dorks, land-tutors, and enchantment ramp, then chain big creatures through a dense ETB/cast draw suite (Beast Whisperer, Soul of the Harvest, Guardian Project, Elemental Bond, Garruk's Uprising, Tribute to the World Tree) while Selvala, Heart of the Wilds, Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx, and Karametra's Acolyte explode the mana. The deck finishes through combat with overrun effects: Craterhoof Behemoth, End-Raze Forerunners, Overwhelming Stampede, or Return of the Wildspeaker. Notably, the 99 also contains Radagast the Brown, a second Radagast that digs for creatures on ETB. There are no infinite combos - this is pure, redundant green goodstuff built for combat inevitability.
