Sheoldred by Aglem23

Format: Commander

Commander: Sheoldred, the Apocalypse

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a mono-black group-slug deck helmed by Sheoldred, the Apocalypse that forces opponents to draw extra cards and bleeds them out for it. The plan layers symmetric draw engines (Howling Mine, Font of Mythos, Seizan, Perverter of Truth, Teferi's Puzzle Box) with draw-punishers and a dense lifegain-to-drain package. Primary wins are the classic Exquisite Blood loops with Sanguine Bond, Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Enduring Tenacity, or Bloodthirsty Conqueror, plus one-shot closers like Peer into the Abyss aimed at an opponent under Sheoldred or a big Torment of Hailfire / Exsanguinate. Sheoldred is an efficient 4-mana engine that amplifies every forced draw, but the 99 contains enough redundant punishers and independent combo pairs that the deck still functions without her. Expect a midrange slug race that snowballs life totals rather than a turbo combo kill.
