Deck overview

This deck is an explosive Selesnya Voltron aggro strategy centered on Sergeant John Benton. The plan accelerates into an early commander cast on Turn 2 using efficient one-mana ramp pieces such as Llanowar Elves and Wild Growth. Because Benton features native haste and trample, he attacks immediately to trigger Share Intelligence. While this ability draws cards for both combatants, the deck breaks parity by stocking dozens of cheap combat tricks and double strike enablers like Invigorate, Become Immense, and Battle Mastery. Each point of extra combat damage draws more cards, creating a runaway sequence of pump and protection spells. Opponents are eliminated sequentially through commander damage, beginning on Turn 4 and concluding by Turn 6. The deck relies heavily on Benton remaining on the battlefield, shielding him with cards like Blacksmith's Skill and Tyvar's Stand. However, it carries total commander reliance and completely lacks proactive disruption or backup win conditions.
