Format: Commander

Commander: Matoya, Archon Elder

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Matoya, Archon Elder turns every scry and surveil into card draw, fueling a mono-blue control-mill deck. The primary plan is to establish Matoya with cheap scry/surveil engines like Consider, Opt, Cruel Witness and Curator of Mysteries, then convert draws into mills with Psychic Corrosion, Jace's Erasure, Mystic Redaction and The Water Crystal, doubled by Teferi's Ageless Insight. Secondary paths create Bird/Drake tokens via Hermes, Murmuring Mystic and Talrand to block and pressure, while 18 counterspells hold the board. Curator of Mysteries acts as hidden commander, enabling the Mind Over Matter draw loop, and Hullbreaker Horror provides a second combo and hard control lock.
