Deck overview

This deck is a tuned Mardu artifact aristocrats combo strategy led by Jan Jansen, Chaos Crafter. Jan Jansen acts as an engine piece in the command zone, turning noncreature artifacts into Construct creature tokens and artifact creatures into Treasures. Because Jan Jansen has native haste, he generates immediate value the turn he lands. The deck aims to assemble infinite tap-untap loops using synergy pieces like Clock of Omens, Liquimetal Torque, and Thornbite Staff alongside token doublers and sacrifice outlets. These loops translate directly into lethal damage through aristocrat payoffs such as Marionette Apprentice, Mirkwood Bats, Reckless Fireweaver, and Purphoros, God of the Forge. A robust suite of premium white and red protection spells safeguards the combo, while efficient tutors and recursion engines ensure high consistency and rapid recovery from board wipes.
