Deck overview

Smaug, the Impenetrable is a Rakdos treasure-combo deck built around dealing noncombat damage to its own commander. Smaug turns every point of that damage into Treasure tokens, which fuel sacrifice-trigger drain loops from Havoc Jester and Mayhem Devil. The primary plan is to cast Smaug, hit him with a cheap damage spell, then sacrifice Treasures to loop infinite damage through the two pingers or through Xorn/reflection effects. Secondary paths use Aetherflux Reservoir, Exsanguinate/Torment of Hailfire, and Revel in Riches, with dragon beatdown as a fallback. Five premium tutors and a heavy fast-mana package make the Smaug engine consistent and allow a deterministic kill by turn five or six.
