Deck overview

This deck is an Esper aggressive tempo and token swarm strategy helmed by Alela, Artful Provocateur. The primary game plan converts cheap historic spells—specifically 0-to-2 CMC artifact cantrips and neutralizing Auras—into an evasive army of 2/1 flying Faeries. After deploying Alela on Turn 4, the deck rapidly widens its board presence while churning through the library with cycling baubles and draw engines. On Turn 6, mass pump effects like Banner of Kinship or All That Glitters convert the Faerie swarm into lethal combat pressure, eliminating opponents in sequence by Turn 8. The deck disrupts opponents using single-target neutralizing Auras like Frogify and Witness Protection alongside targeted counterspells. While highly synergistic and resilient against single-target removal via Etchings of the Chosen and Kaya's Ghostform, the strategy remains vulnerable to mass sweepers and relies on sustained combat over multiple table rotations to close the game.
